Booking Conditions & Policy | Tolasudolsa Compiano

Welcome to Tolasudolsa Rooms, Breakfast & Mountain Bike in Compiano, in the heart of the Upper Val Taro. We are Valeria and Giorgio, and our philosophy is “Take it easy, Take it slowly”. We have created these B&B rules and FAQs to share a few simple pieces of information with you that will make your stay harmonious, pleasant, and respectful of the surrounding environment.

Our Green & Conscious Approach

We love our Apennines and have chosen to adopt concrete practices for the good of the Planet. We have progressively eliminated single-use plastic and exclusively use eco-compatible products and the deep sanitizing power of steam at 143°C for the hygiene of our spaces. Living in the mountains, we kindly ask you to actively cooperate with us against energy and water waste:

  • 🔹 Please bring clothing suitable for the altitude (you can ask us for extra blankets if needed).
  • 🔹 Do not cover the radiators and close windows and shutters tightly during the night.
  • 🔹 Avoid wasting water and request laundry changes only when strictly necessary.
  • 🔹 Please check and turn off unnecessary lights in rooms and common areas.
  • 🔹 Unplug chargers from power outlets when they are not connected to your devices.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No, the property does not have a kitchen for independent use by guests. However, in the common dining room, you will find crockery, tablecloths, a refrigerator, and a kettle entirely at your disposal. Upon prior request, it is possible to use the outdoor barbecue in the courtyard (gas or charcoal are excluded from the equipment, and we might request a small contribution for its use).

Is it possible to have lunch or dinner at the property?
Yes! Tolasudolsa offers an exclusive Home Restaurant service reserved solely for guests staying with us. Our experience revolves around the concept of the Social Table: a single large table where you can sit to savor local dishes, share stories, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere outside the boundaries of a classic restaurant. In full respect of eco-sustainability, we offer express cuisine to avoid waste or overproduction. For this reason, the service is available exclusively upon reservation, with a minimum notice of 24 hours prior to check-in.

What menus do you offer and how much do they cost?
We propose 3 tasting journeys linked to the rhythm of the seasons (prices are per person per meal and include mineral water, coffee, and the paired house wine):

  • Light Menu (from € 20.00): 2 courses (appetizer + choice between a first or second course), dessert, and ¼ of house wine.
  • Homemade Menu (from € 25.00): 3 courses (appetizer, first course, and complete second course), dessert or homemade after-meal treat. Includes ½ of house wine.
  • Special Traditional Menu (from € 30.00): 4 courses dedicated to the great seasonal excellences of the territory (dishes based on mushrooms, truffles, venison, or trout from the Upper Val Taro), dessert, and ½ of paired wine. Please note: this menu requires a minimum notice of at least 2 days (48 hours).

Once you have shared your dietary preferences, you can choose whether to customize the menu with us or give complete creative freedom to our “House Chef” to surprise you with unique seasonal creations.

How are allergies, intolerances, and dietary preferences managed?
We kindly ask you to inform us of your dietary requirements prior to arrival so we can offer a satisfying service. While we take the utmost care during preparation, we must clarify that products containing allergens (such as flours, dairy, nuts, eggs, etc.) are used in our kitchen; therefore, we cannot guarantee a total absence of cross-contamination. Our staff will be happy to guide you toward the most suitable solutions.

What happens in case of a last-minute meal cancellation?
We do not require a separate deposit for catering reservations. However, because we work strictly on a custom basis with fresh ingredients purchased ad hoc in line with our anti-waste philosophy, if a dinner reservation is cancelled on the day of check-in itself, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee to cover the costs of the raw materials already prepared and unused.

  • Check-in: Rooms are accessible from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We kindly ask you to let us know your approximate arrival time to welcome you best. Arrivals agreed after midnight may incur a small operational fee payable on site. It is possible to arrive in the late morning exclusively to leave your luggage in our custody.
  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM on the day of departure. Special for Athletes: for bikers or hikers who wish to enjoy one last outing, it is possible to request in advance the availability of a late shower after the standard check-out time.
  • Meal Times: Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM (via an “à la carte” menu to be filled out the evening before). Lunch starts from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, and dinner from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. If guests from different rooms are present, meal times might be staggered or organized in shifts to ensure maximum comfort for everyone.

Room cleaning and sanitization take place daily between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. For operational and safety reasons, guests are not permitted to remain inside the rooms while housekeeping is underway. Staff will enter only if you have not indicated otherwise using the specific sign on the door handle. Before leaving your room in the morning, we kindly ask you to open the windows to encourage natural ventilation.

As owners, we live permanently on the property (in the apartment located on the ground floor), ensuring a continuous presence for any need. Upon check-in, we will hand over the keys to both your room and the main entrance door: this guarantees maximum independence, allowing you to enter and leave at whatever times you prefer, without constraints.

We have a private uncovered parking lot located right in front of the property, available free of charge to all guests. For two-wheel lovers (mountain biking, cycle tourism, or motorbikes), we offer free access to a large, covered, and locked garage for secure overnight vehicle storage.

Yes, at Tolasudolsa, four-legged friends of all sizes are welcome (up to a maximum of 1 per room if large), subject to notification prior to arrival. Pets have access to all areas of the property that are accessible to their humans. At the end of each stay, the rooms are deeply sanitized with specific eco-friendly, non-harmful products that neutralize odors without inducing the next animal to mark territory.

What is included in the stay (free of charge): Cleansing wipes and eco-friendly oxo-degradable waste bags for collecting feces.

Services on request (may incur a small supplement): Provision of suitable bowls, dedicated sleeping mats for the room, and special travel water bottles for outdoor excursions.

Rules for good coexistence: We kindly ask you not to allow pets onto beds or sofas. Outside and in the shared courtyard, dogs must always be kept on a leash: the area is not fenced, we are close to the local wildlife of the Apennines and the provincial road, and the presence of the property’s cats could trigger interactions that are difficult to manage. Upon check-out, a small financial contribution may be required for extraordinary and deep cleaning to restore the premises.

No, a strict non-smoking policy applies inside all areas of the property, even with windows wide open. Guests who wish to smoke can freely do so in the spacious outdoor areas, where designated ashtrays are provided. We strongly urge you not to litter cigarette butts in the environment to avoid serious risks of forest fires and pollution. Failure to comply with the indoor ban will result in a cleaning fee to cover extraordinary odor removal and restore the “non-smoking room” condition.
